Ines Irawati - Piano
Indonesian-born pianist, Ines Irawati is in demand both as a solo recitalist and a chamber musician. Her recent engagements include performances for TEDxSan Diego at Copley Symphony Hall, the Art of Élan, Musikamar chamber concerts, and performances with the Aviara Trio.
She was educated at Cleveland Institute of Music, where she studied under the tutelage of Olga Radosavljevich. She also holds a Masters of Music degree from Yale University, where she studied with Claude Frank. She attended the Music Academy of the West, where she was awarded Best Vocal Pianist by the Marilyn Horne Foundation, and was invited for a New York debut at the Kosciuszko Foundation. Ms. Irawati currently serves as Music and Artistic Director of San Diego Opera’s Young Artists Programs as well as its community engagement concert series Opera Exposed!.
During the summer, she serves as a coach and vocal pianist at the prestigious Institute for Young Dramatic Voices. She also has served as the vocal coach at Point Loma Nazarene University from 2004-2017.
Ms. Irawati is a member of Aviara Trio and the founder of MusiKamar, a music series which brings chamber music concerts into smaller and intimate spaces.
She lives in San Diego with her husband, Michael, and their two children.
