Corey Hable - Countertenor (He/Him)

Corey Hable, countertenor, is praised for his radiant tone, expressive range, and magnetic stage presence. Equally at home in baroque and contemporary repertoire, he brings emotional depth and stylistic sensitivity to both sacred and operatic stages.

 

Recent highlights include solo performances in Handel’s Messiah, Bach’s Magnificat, and Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater, as well as Bernstein’s Chichester Psalms and Missa Brevis. Operatic roles include Ruggiero (Alcina) and the title role in Orlando, earning acclaim for his
vocal agility and dramatic instinct.

Corey is a 2022 District Winner in the Metropolitan Opera
Laffont Competition, a finalist in the 2023 Palm Springs Opera Guild Competition, and a finalist in the 8th Annual Opera Ithaca International Competition.

 

Also an accomplished composer, Corey’s works have been performed internationally, including at the Llangollen Eisteddfod (Wales) and Coventry Cathedral (UK). He holds degrees from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and the Royal Academy of Music in London.
 

Now represented by Athlone Artists, Corey continues to hone his craft under the mentorship of renowned figures in the opera world, building a career marked by curiosity, artistic integrity, and
heartfelt communication.
