Kelsey Kammeraad, Soprano
Kelsey Kammeraad, soprano, is originally from Holland, Michigan. After years of falling in love with musical theatre, she naturally transitioned into operatic repertoire with the role of Rosabella (The Most Happy Fella). Her roles have included Barbarina (Le nozze di Figaro), Gianetta (L'elisir d'amore), Donna Elvira (Don Giovanni), Cendrillon (Cendrillon), Rita (Rita), and Belinda (Dido and Aeneas). In 2014, she was a prize winner at the Metropolitan Opera Council Auditions (San Diego), and this winter, she completed her fourth year as a singer in San Diego Opera's community outreach program, Opera Exposed. As part of OE's Opera on Track, she performed at trolley stations around San Diego as Tisbe in an abridged version of La Cenerentola. She is thrilled to join Bodhi Tree Concerts for this production in her first role with the company.
