Grammy award winning George Winston is not only one the most recognizable pianists in the world, he is a true philanthropist, quietly making a big impact in each of the cities through which he tours. George supports local food banks across our country by holding a canned food drive at each of his concerts and donating 100% of his tour merchandise sales to that local food bank! Inspiring.
In fact, so inspiring that after meeting George on several occasions and watching his musicianship and generosity in action - we started to explore ways that we, Diana & Walter, could find a model of philanthropy through music. And that truly was one of the seeds that started Bodhi Tree Concerts.
George was also generous with our son, a music lover even at a very young age. George has gifted him with piles of CD's, cards, and notes and is nurturing especially his love for THE DOORS! George inspires the next generation, as well, and we at Bodhi Tree Concerts are in awe of this quiet, gentle, enormously talented and generous individual.
