Anthony Whitson-Martini is thrilled to return to Bodhi Tree Concerts (All Is Calm, 2018; H.M.S. Pinafore, 2014; Pirates of Penzance, 2013).

 

A native of San Diego, Anthony has also appeared with San Diego Opera, Utah Festival Opera & Musical Theatre as well as Lambs Players Theatre in San Diego. 

 

Anthony recently completed his four year residency at the prestigious Academy of Vocal Arts (AVA) in Philadelphia, where he performed leading roles in Così fan tutte, Rusalka, Don Giovanni, Ariadne auf Naxos & Die Zauberflöte. Anthony’s concert work includes appearances with The Philadelphia Orchestra in Bernstein’s West Side Story under the baton of Yannick Nezet-Seguin, Lyric Fest, San Diego Master Chorale, and La Jolla Symphony & Chorus.

 

Mr. Whitson-Martini is a Regional Finalist of the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions, among other awards from the Lotte Lenya Competition, Burbank Philharmonic, OperaBuffs, and Musical Merit Foundation of San Diego. 

 

Anthony holds an Artist Diploma from the Academy of Vocal Arts and a B.A. in Music from Point Loma Nazarene University under the training of Dr. John Craig Johnson and Ines Irawati.
