Timothy Simpson - Tenor

Timothy Simpson is a San Diego native and an active performer in a number of its prestigious ensembles. Timothy performs as a core singer for both San Diego Opera and SACRA/PROFANA. Other ensembles include: San Diego Pro Arte Voices, Bach Collegium San Diego, Musica Vitale and Folklore. He has a been a featured soloist in
“The Messiah” with SACRA/PROFANA, Handel’s “L’Allegro, Il Penseroso ed il Moderato” with Grossmont Symphony and Master Chorale. In concert with San Diego Symphony’s Summer Pops, he has been a soloist in the Final Fantasy and Broadway Pops concerts. Last year, Timothy performed in the San Diego City Opera’s inaugural production of Queen of Carthage in collaboration with the La Jolla Playhouse. With SACRA/PROFANA, Timothy has been involved in the development of their education and outreach programs, highlighting their Summer Choral
Intensive. He also had the privilege of being part of the choral ensemble for the premiere of La Jolla Playhouse’s Hunchback of Notre Dame. Timothy holds a Bachelors of Music in Vocal Performance from Chapman University.
