Concert to Benefit Immigration Justice Project

As with most  Gilbert and Sullivan operas, the plot of Trial by Jury is ludicrous, but the characters behave as if the events were perfectly reasonable. There are pointed barbs aimed at the hypocrisy, especially of those in authority, as well as at the sometimes base motives of supposedly respectable people and institutions. Sounds like a perfect escape from today's news or maybe too close for comfort? In either case, enjoy our annual romp through the G&S canon with the added bonus of an Act II of your favorite G&S choruses! This silly concert will benefit a very serious and timely cause: The Immigration Justice Project. The mission of the IJP is to promote due process and access to justice at all levels of the immigration and appellate court system, through the provision of high-quality pro bono legal service for those in immigration proceedings in San Diego. What's not to like - a great cause, hilarious proceedings and you get to sing with the local stars! Reception with the artists will follow.
